Gobang, also known as Gomoku, is recognized as one of the prominent games within the sphere of World Intellectual Games. It is a two-player strategic board game that emphasizes pure skill and tactical planning. Typically played with black and white stones placed on intersections of a 15x15 grid, the objective is to align five or more consecutive stones horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to secure victory.

Europeans often call it "gentleman’s chess," reflecting the game's demeanor of sophistication and decorum.
